Day 3 Sunday Rosthwaite to Grasmere
Thought this was gonna be an easy 9 miler but it turned out to be a real toughy.
Climbing and the descending all the way. Big climb to the top of the fell, but the effort was worthwhile - views both sides stunning. Particularly on a sunny clear day without a cloud in the sky.
What is a drumlin cos we have seen a field of them.
Map reading skills much improved but general reading still poor, tried to book in at Grasmere Hostel only to find we were booked in at Grasmere Hotel. Dunc would like to admit this was his minor error. The one mile walk from one to the other, at the end of a tiring day, was in silence.
Only 9.4 miles but it felt like a lot more
